Point of Sale Reports
Point of Sale (PoS) is a digital system that enables businesses to complete sales transactions efficiently and accurately. It typically combines hardware—such as a register, barcode scanner, or card reader—with software that records sales, processes payments, and manages inventory. Modern POS systems such as QuickEasy BOS go beyond simple transactions by offering features like real-time reporting, customer management, and integration with accounting tools.
The PoS module is QuickEasy BOS provides for multiple tills and users. The system can also be used to manage stock transfers from one till or branch to another.
Buttons Explained
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| View | Displays a list of Point-of-Sale entries. |
| View > Arrow | Displays a list of filters (Today, This Month, Pending, Active, Pending & Active). Reset Data Filter: Resets the data filters. |
| Output | Exports the display in .csv, .xlsx, or .htm format. |
| Menu | Show Notes Views – Default: Displays a summary of the tills. – Users: Displays a summary of users who clocked in and out. Settings – Edit User Access – Edit Setup – Edit Statuses (Timekeeping) Layout |
Filters Explained
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Set | Provides a dropdown list of date options including No Date to display all the records. |
| Arrows | Adjusts the date in the direction of the arrow. |
| Date … To | Allows custom dates. |
| Till | A dropdown list of all Point-of-Sale tills for selection. |
| User (Users View only) | A dropdown list of users for selection. |
| Status Group Checkboxes (Default View only) | Only entries with statuses that fall within the checked Status Groups are displayed. If none of the statuses are checked, all the entries are displayed. |
Fields Explained: Default View
| Field | Description |

| Field Chooser (*) | Allows columns to be added or removed. |
| Status | The status of the till session. |
| PoS No. | The system-generated number allocated to the till session. |
| Till | The name of the till. |
| Status Note | Any note typed on the status bar of the till sesssion. |
| Date | The date of the till session. |
| Opened Time | The time that the till session was opened. |
| Opened By | The user who opened the till session. |
| Closed Time | The time that the till session was closed. |
| Closed By | The user who closed the till session. |
| Sales | The sales recorded for the session. |
| Variance (Opened) | The cash difference when the till session was opened. |
| Variance (Closed) | The cash difference when the till session was closed. |
| Created | The date on which the entry was created. |
| Updated | The date on which the entry was last updated. |
| Updated By | The user who last updated the entry. |
| Widget | A submenu with the following option: – Edit: Allows the point-of-sale session to be edited or deleted (if the status is pending or changed back to pending). |

| ID | The system-generated number allocated to the entry |
| PoS No. | The system-generated number allocated to the session. |
| Till | The name of the Till. |
| User | The user who clocked in. |
| Clock In | The date the user clocked in. |
| @ | The time that the user clocked in. |
| Clock Out | The date the user clocked out. |
| @ | The time that the user clocked out. |
| Hrs (C) | The duration that the user was clocked in. A user is clocked in when they open a till session. A user is clocked out when they close a till session. |
| Hrs (S) | The duration that the user was signed in. A user is signed in when they capture a transaction. A user is signed out when they stop capturing transactions. |
| Sales | The sales recorded for the session. |
