A Proposal Template needs to be created for each Product. The template contains all the Options and Accessories that can be added to the product.
You can edit Proposal templates from Transaction Types or from Transactions – Menu (button) > Settings > Edit Proposal Templates.
Proposal Items that are not linked Items will be ignored.

Documentation Updated / Created

Ver 1.0.50

Statement of Financial Position – The Balance is now highlighted Green/Red for Balanced/Out of Balance.

CAA/SAA – Select Month/Year – End date is set to Current Date

Document Designer – New Module

With this version we have started a new module which will be used to generate HTML and PDF documents from both the Desktop and the Web App.
This functionality will ultimately replace Reportbuilder, but for now it can be used interchangeably.

How to design a document
Document Templates consist of stacked Bands/Blocks.
Bands/Blocks contain Attributes (Properties) relative to the Band Type.
Default values are inserted when a Document is created or a Band is added as below.

  • Margins: Top, Left, Right = 10mm
  • Font: Roboto – Regular; Size: Caption 16px, Text 10px
  • Various other Band specific defaults.

Notes on PDF vs HTML
HTML is pageless – all bands are stacked from top down
PDF has pages and can therefore support placement = Top, Header, Footer etc.

Notes on Fonts
Only 2x Google Fonts are supported with 3 styles each:

  • Roboto – Light, Regular, Bold
  • Roboto Serif – Light, Regular, Bold

If text includes Thai characters, the Fonts are substituted as follows:

  • Roboto > Noto Sans Thai
  • Roboto Serif > Noto Sans Thai Looped

Notes on Images
Link Images to Entities as Attachments to use in Documents (eg. Logo)

Fixes

  • Fixed: Service Types > Caption on button Notes renamed to Note
  • Fixed: Cus/Sup Detailed Ledger: If (Supplier Invoice)
    • SI no was not assigned; the transaction number was blank.
    • Now it shows as SI (applies to transaction where the number is captured).
    • When you unchecked Local Currency for a Cus/Sup that uses local currency, no records were displayed (the setting now remains fixed on Local Currency.)

Items – Attributes – a Code field has been added to Attribute Groups (For internal use). Attributes can now also be moved Up/Down (Sorted)

Multi-Language – The Chart of Accounts can now be translated – Description & Lookup fields.

Documentation Updated

Ver 1.0.48

  • Layout – The Light/Dark Compact modes have been removed. (They were very similar to the Light/Dark modes. (The Dark Compact mode was not working correctly anyway).
  • The Menu Item Help > ‘Online Documentation’ has been renamed to ‘Knowledge Base’ and it now opens the new WordPress documentation site (this one).
  • Language Editor is now filtered to the Subscriber linked to the Database, not the Subscriber linked to the User (Sorts out a problem where incorrect languages showing when using the Support user)
  • Email / HTML Editor – an HTML button has been added to toggle between the WYSIWYG editor and an HTML editor.
  • Ledger – Detailed Ledger – The Currency column is now only visible when a Bank account is viewed. All other accounts are displayed in Local Currency.
  • CAA/SAA – The Output templates have been split for the Ageing and the Detailed Ledger Views. The Detailed Ledger View is a separate module, essentially an extension of the Ledger.

Transactions

  • Transactions – Calendar – Batch Update functionality has been added to the Edit View for the Calendar fields.
  • Transaction Copy Dialogue – The Items Group and From fields are now hidden by default. A Menu button has been added bottom right with functionality to Save the Items Grid view by Transaction Type (The Transaction you are copying from)
  • Transactions – Items – Column ‘Gross Margin’ renamed to ‘Profit’ (GM% and Profit are visible only when Price = Sell Price – the fields have also been added to the Items View.)
  • Transactions – Production – Added to Edit View > Menu (button). Production Views > Materials, Task, Outwork – The Views will be opened and filtered to the selected Transaction.

Service Type Modules

Items

  • Pricing – The RoE and Override RoE fields have been removed from Supplier Prices. The current RoE is still displayed, hidden by default. When a Supplier was added to a Supplier Price, the currency was not updated to the Supplier Currency. The Price will also be converted if the currency is changed.

Fixes

  • Fixed: When a foreign currency transaction was copied to a local currency transaction (eg. PO to GR), the foreign currency amounts were added to the local currency transaction. (Now they are converted at the current RoE)
  • Fixed: When the Transaction No. was blank (e.g. Supplier Invoice), the transaction would appear as a blank list on the Recent list. (Now the Transaction Code is displayed)
  • Fixed: The General Setting > Currency Conversion Model was not working correctly on non-accounting transactions. When the RoE was updated, the corresponding RoE (eg. Local to Foreign) was not updated. Reminder: You can toggle this General setting at any time, even if you have existing transactions.
  • Fixed: CAA/SAA – The Detailed Ledger Entity filters were not updated when you drilled down from the Ageing view.
  • Fixed: Ledger – the selected record in the List view is now refreshed when you navigate back to the Ledger from the Edit View. Deleted Transactions were visible in the Ledger.
  • Fixed: Service Manager – When the Company was cleared, the Contact was not cleared. Thai text was not displaying in the Detail band.
  • Fixed: Thai characters were not supported in the HTML editor – default font changed from Segoe UI to Tahoma.
  • Financial Statements – when a Period is selected, the Date controls are now set to read-only instead of being disabled
