Changelogs

Changelogs are records of all the changes made to transactions and other records. Changelogs were introduced in Version 1.0.81 (June 2026) and only logs changes made after QuickEasy BOS has been upgraded to that or a higher version.

Buttons Explained

ButtonDescription
ViewDisplays a list of changes.
Arrow on View (button)Resets the selected data filters.
OutputExports the list of changes in .xlsx, .htm or .csv format.

Filters Explained

FilterDescription
DateA dropdown list of date options including No Date to display all the records.
Date FieldsOptions to set custom dates.
ArrowsAdjusts the date in the direction of the arrow.

Fields Explained

FieldsDescription
Field Chooser (*)Used to add or remove columns.
DateThe record’s date.
@The record’s time.
Updated ByThe user who updated the record.
ModuleThe name of the module in which the change was recorded.
RecordA description of the record (e.g. QT 59 or Item 2: Poster).
HeaderThe header record that was updated.
ActionThe action that the user took (e.g. UPDATE, BIN).
DetailColour-coded details of the changes.

How to Display a Changelog

  1. From the Main Menu:
    1. Click Help > View Changelog.
    2. Select a date range (default: Today).
    3. Click View (button).
    4. A changelog with all the changes for the selected date range is displayed.
  2. From Editing a Transaction:
    1. Click Menu (button) > View Changelog.
    2. Select a date range (default: No Date to display all the changes).
    3. Click View (button).
    4. All the edits (creation and updates) made to that transaction is displayed.
  3. From Displaying a List of Transactions:
    1. Click Menu (button) > View Changelog.
    2. Select a date range (default: Today).
    3. Click View (button).
    4. All the edits (creation and updates) made to that transaction is displayed.
